Six Features to Consider Before Buying Laptops

Image
For the contemporary tech-smart population, a laptop is often regarded as more than just a work tool. Many rely on laptops for multi-faceted purposes spanning social, entertainment, educational and business-related needs.

This makes it imperative for the right decision to be made when shopping for a new device or a replacement unit for your old laptop.

According to the research and development unit of Yudala, here are major things to look out for when shopping for a new laptop.

(1) Size

Gone are the days when laptops weighed a ton and took up so much space. Ongoing advancements in the sphere of computer manufacturing have seen many refinements in laptop sizes. For students and busy executives, portability is a core requirement. The easier it is to fit your laptop PC into a small bag, the better.

Therefore, a laptop with a screen size between 12.5 to 14 inches and weighing between one to 1.5kg fits the bill. When shopping for such a portable device, it is often best to go for a notebook.

Remita mobile app, not a threat to banks – Obaro

John Obaro, CEO of Systemspecs, owner of the Remita mobile app, a platform that enables customers to access to all their bank accounts on the single platform, says the mobile application is in no way a threat to normal banking applications.
Obaro, who spoke with BusinessDay at the official launch of the mobile application, debunked earlier claims of possible competition with the banks, saying it was simply an online/mobile payment collection platform and not a banking app.
“Remita is not new and the banks have welcomed and accepted it for a while when federal government and corporate agencies started using the platform to pay taxes, salaries, remit pensions and so many other things. We are just launching it on mobile for use by individuals,” Obaro said.
Contrary to previous speculations that the financial technology solution which helps businesses and individuals, manage their accounts and make payments across multiple banks would disrupt bank apps which have been somewhat turned to e-co…

iPhone 7s leak reveals new glass backAdam Westlake - Aug 5, 2017

Image
Almost every leak and rumor on this year’s iPhone has been about the so-called “iPhone 8,” or the new flagship with an OLED display that fills the front side. But we know that Apple will debut two other devices this fall: the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus, the modest upgrades and refreshes of last year’s phones. Now we’ve got one of the first big leaks on these other two models, and it reveals a supposed dummy model for the iPhone 7s Plus featuring an all-glass back.

These photos are said to originate from Sonny Dickson, a source of tips and leaks with a reliable track record. They reveal that the dummy model iPhone 7s Plus uses the same basic chassis design of the iPhone 7 models, but simply replaces the aluminum back with reflective glass.

While photos of a supposed dummy model should always be taken with a grain of salt, these images seem credible based on previous reports. We’ve long heard that the “iPhone 8” will include a wireless charging feature, with the most recent rumor indicating an…

Now, it’s starting to look like that glossy exterior will not be the device’s only stand out feature. Take a look below to find out more.

The Nokia 8 Surfaces On GeekBench With The MSM8998 And A Surprise Android 0

With more brands, the flagship sphere in mobile has started to dilute. We’ve got two categories of smartphones now, differentiated minutely important specifications. The Pixel/Pixel XL, iPhone X/X Plus, Samsung SX/SX/Note X and even the LG G6 and rumored LG V30. So it’s no surprise for HMD, a relatively new entrant, to follow similar suit with the Nokia 8 and the Nokia 9. Out of the pair, it’s the Nokia 8 which the company will launch in less…
